Yali of Debreli Ismail Pasha

The Debreli Ismail Pasa yali, built in the Turkish Baroque style in 1778 near the Mosque of Beylerbeyi, was burnt down, like many others over the years. Since its restoration, it is now a boutique hotel. The original plan of the building was designed by the architect Alexandre Vallaury in 1890. For those wishing to spend a night in an historical water mansion, prices start from 160 Euros. (Tel:0-216-4220003 www.bosphoruspalace.com)
This was first the site of the Debreli Ismail Pasha Residence of the Grand Vizier of the Sultan Selim 3 (1789-1807) Damat Melek Mehmet Pasha. In 1890 a new building, built on this spot by the architect A.Vallaury, was purchased by Ismail Hakki Pasha who was the deputy of Debre (in today's Albania) under Sultan Abdul Hamid (1876-1909). In its original form the residence consisted of 22 rooms with the Harem and the Selamlik.

The 14 guest rooms of the classical style Bosphorus Pasha Hotel are each beautifully and exquisitely appointed, with care given to every detail.

All rooms have bath, air-conditioning, minibar, direct telephone lines, satellite TV, music system, deposit box and jacuzzi in deluxe rooms.

Restaurant Cecconi's

Restaurant, with its magnificent location overlooking the marvelous Bosphorus, offers a taste of world's most delicious dishes in a setting which is at once both elite and romantic. The former boathouse of the historical residence has been converted into a fine restaurant, allowing the restaurant a site directly on the water's edge.
