Eskisehir Osmangazi University (Turkish: Eskisehir Osmangazi Üniveristesi), abbreviated as OGU, is located in Eskişehir, in the Eskişehir Province of Turkey. Since there is a large student body, the city of Eskişehir being influenced by the two city universities, is called a "university town". There are many cafes, restaurants, and bars at the heart of the city, Adalar, serving the student population. The University was established as a spin off from the Anadolu University. and was instituted under the name of Osmangazi University on August 18, 1993, through a governmental decree.

The Faculties of Medicine, Engineering and Architecture, and the Faculty of Science and Letters were carried over to this new formation. These colleges have histories going back to nearly 32 years. During the creation of university two vocational schools and three community colleges were also connected to Osmangazi University. A Faculty of Economic and Administrative Sciences is expected to open in the near future. The university also has six research centers.

OGU's mission is to contribute to the production of dynamic human resources with it graduates being able to generate and use information with technology and as creative individuals, capable of finding solutions to national and universal issues.
