Eskisehir Osmangazi University
Eskisehir Osmangazi University (Turkish: Eskisehir Osmangazi Üniveristesi), abbreviated as OGU, is located in Eskişehir, in the Eskişehir Province of Turkey. Since there is a large student body, the city of Eskişehir being influenced by the two city universities, is called a "university town". There are many cafes, restaurants, and bars at the heart of the city, Adalar, serving the student population.
The University was established as a spin off from the Anadolu University. and was instituted under the name of Osmangazi University on August 18, 1993, through a governmental decree.
