The complex is constructed on a 1.3 million square metre site, on the Asian side of the Bosphorus, outside Istanbul. The campus is organized around three zones, all connected by a pedestrian walkway: academic core, housing & sports and recreation. A central campus green surrounds the academic buildings, the administration building and the library. The residential area encompasses student and faculty housing, a health clinic, daycare centre, cafe, and student shop.
